"Tones of Morocco"
I’m a French engineer and architect, which means I’m trained to see the world through systems, logic, lines, and composition. My practice of photography is an extension of that way of seeing. It offers a balance between the rigorous discipline of my engineering work and the intuitive sensibility that comes with capturing life. Tones of Morocco is an exploration of the country’s countryside, focusing on the colors and textures that define the landscape and its relationship to the objects that exist within it. Earth tones are everywhere—deeply saturated or faded, warm or cool—occasionally punctuated by unexpected greens or man-made architectural elements, all set beneath an endless blue sky. Among these tones, orange has always been my favorite color, and I find myself naturally drawn to it wherever it appears. This work is both a documentation of place and a personal pursuit of a color I hold close.
